GREAT
DINING IN MYRTLE BEACH!
With over 1800 restaurants on the Grand Strand,
it's possible to "eat three meals out" every day for almost two years and not
visit any one twice! Though not San Francisco (the "restaurant capital of the
world") with its many exceptional restaurants, the Myrtle Beach area does offer
several venues for fine dining including The Library, Thoroughbreds, Collectors Cafe, The
Old Pros Table Restaurant and Golf Museum and others, and some of the freshest and best
seafood in the world at modest prices. Calabash on the north end (NC) and Murrells Inlet
on the south end are the "seafood capitals" of the Strand. And there's
everything in-between, from superb all-you-can-eat seafood buffets especially popular with
families with children to themed restaurants like Hard Rock Cafe. International cuisine,
too. Reservations are seldom required, but suggested for the most popular restaurants.
After the challenge of the course, relax with your foursome or family and enjoy some great
dining in Myrtle Beach. |

FEATURED RESTAURANT:
SEA CAPTAIN'S
HOUSE
3002 N. Ocean Blvd.
MYRTLE BEACH
The Sea Captain's House first began as a traditional family beach
cottage, built by the Henry Taylor's of High Point, N.C., sometime in 1930. The Taylor
Family then sold the house during the 1940's to Charles W. Angle. The house remained a
private residence until 1954 when it was purchased by Mrs. Nellie G. Howard. She converted
it into a guest house called Howard Manor with nine guest rooms, serving three home-cooked
meals daily. Today it is one of the most popular seafood restaurants on the Strand.
